For years the city of Brunswick searched for a way to upgrade the area around the town´s main train station. To cope with the challenge a property and development company was established and two reputable partners were hired for further development work. These partners were the Gattermann Immobilien Projekt GmbH and the architects of Papendieck, Rade & Partner. With support of politicians and adminstration, the idea of the BraWo Park as a new shopping center, supplemented with office space and urgently needed parking space was developed.
The central station is a key point in the daily lives of thousands of people. Inhabitants, commuters and visitors enter and leave the city day after day at this important link. Supra-regional and regional trains as well as public transport connect at Brunswick´s central station. For many people the first and daily impression of the city occurs there.
